MAKEUP FOR SUMMER SEASON

THE HOTTEST SUMMER MAKEUP

Summer_Look_1

Bright makeup colors have a place in your makeup bag now. Go for bold in seaweed green eyeliner or indigo mascara instead of brown and black. A hot pink eye shadow can make your eyes look bright and beautiful (caution: too much on your lower lashline and you could wind up looking like you have seasonal allergies). Blending bright colors on the back of your hand before applying them to your lids will prevent them from overpowering your face.

Perfect Your Summer Tan

Look like the girl from Ipanema with the right sunless tanner. Apply it an hour before bed, starting at the ankles and working upward (wear latex gloves to prevent stained palms). Use a makeup sponge to blend it onto your hands, feet and face, and rub Vaseline over knuckles, ankles and eyebrows prone to color-cling. Slip into loose-fitting pajamas, or sleep in the buff, and—presto!—you’re looking sun-kissed come sunrise.

Natural Looking MakeUp is a hot makeup trend come 2010. Flawless skin and

little mascara, bare lips and a mineral foundation completes this look.

It doesn't get much simpler than this!

Spotlight Luscious Summer Lips

Call attention to your kisser in papaya- and tangerine- inspired lipsticks—they’re spirited alternatives to red for day or night. If your skin is medium or dark, opt for an orangey-red shade. Peach is a mellower alternative for light skin; the effect is understated and warm, and you can build the color as you wish.

Flaunt Your Knotty Side

Expose a swan-like neck to catch his eye poolside. Create a center or zig-zag part, gather a ponytail at the nape of your neck and twist it into a low-slung bun. Fasten it at the base with bobby pins or accessorize with a colorful conversation piece to encourage handsome strangers to come-hither. Loosen the bun, but keep the front tight with your bangs slicked back or swept to the side for a glamorous, albeit low-key, effect.

Get Summer-Fresh Faced

Strive for skin that looks youthful, fresh and totally kissable. Step 1: Trade foundation for sheer tinted moisturizer that’s like a second skin. Step 2: Feign the glow that follows a satisfying romp in the hay with a soft peach or apricot blush. Powders are ideal for oily skin, silky creams or gels work for dry skin. Step 3: Dab a pearly highlighter onto the cheekbones, temples, outer and inner corners of the eye, and underside of the brows. This technique picks up light, imparting the same enviable glow you had at 16.
